O Majestic face of God, flowing springs of faith, hope and love. O face of Jesus, Prism of Divine Light, revelation of the Everlasting Father, reflection of your ever-virgin mother. Of you my heart has spoken: seek His face. O glorious face of Christ, face of all beauty cloaked in human flesh, icon of your most pure and sacred Heart. With a glance you give birth to galaxies. With the slightest glimpse you absorb every sigh arising from the heart of man. Love calls out to love, deep calls upon deep, day pours out into day, and night imparts to night all by your ever-present gaze upon creation. In your human face we see the living word of the Father, the deathless image of the Eternal. O Divine Wisdom wrapped in the flesh of man, in your face we see the unseen God and come to know the infinite dignity of every human life. O face of Jesus, breathe into me your life-giving Spirit that He might bear within me the light of your merciful countenance into the deepest recesses of my heart. May He convict, forgive, console, challenge, enlighten, inspire and encourage me with the wisdom He calls forth from your pierced Heart. When I draw my last breath and peer into the light of eternity, compassionately turn my eyes toward the gaze of your Father, that I might be wrapped in a mantle of joyful awe at the sight of His most radiant face welcoming me home.
